We go here for breakfast. The wood fire is welcome in winter and the courtyard is great in the summer. The upstairs part is not suitable for those with climbing problems but the downstairs part is sufficient and has the fire. Good value.. View all feedback.
What Fletcher Abernathy doesn't like about Awkward Jeffery:
The Coffee Shop looks great.. loved the building and its decor... but was very dissapointed with both the Coffee we bought and the customer service.. although they used coffee beans it tasted like instant coffeee and the milk wasnt textured properly.. View all feedback.
What a gorgeous place - the spiral staircase, the lush hanging basket plants, the open fire! Great coffee, great food, friendly staff - can't beat that!
Based on recommendation from the owner of where we stayed we went to Awkward Jeffery for Breakfast. Well aren't we pleased we did, the best breakfast we have had in the district. Great service from our must be super fit host (you will understand if you fo there, good coffee, perfectly cooked poached eggs and amazing food. Our new favourite place.

I enjoyed a delicious breakfast here during summer and revisited this week with a friend from New Zealand. Everything was perfect. Ambience, friendly service, fabulous food and value for money. When one has to deliberate long and hard over the menu, it is a foregone conclusion that one is assured of something special. My favourite place, it will not disappoint.
