Umi - Hendersonville

I was looking for a lunch spot and a friend who lives here recommended Umi restaurant. I was impressed by how quickly the food was prepared and served, and the sushi was incredibly delicious. I plan on returning before I leave to try more dishes, especially since the prices were quite reasonable.

Our waitress, Cassandra, was fantastic. The food arrived promptly and was incredibly tasty. My husband and I ordered water with lemon. We enjoyed the spicy crab salad, Superman roll, Geisha Roll, flying fish roe, and chicken fried. The bill came out to $54, and we had to take home leftovers. There was enough left for another meal! I started timing our meal at 11:12 am when we placed our order, and by 11:20, I already had the spicy crab salad in front of me. We were still savoring the salad when the chicken fried arrived.

The food was fantastic and the service was excellent! We ordered the sushi roll lovers for two and it was enough to also feed our 9-year-old. We especially enjoyed the ginger dressing on the salad. We were so excited about the sushi boat that we forgot to take a picture before digging in. It was definitely worth the price.

Try with the hibachi dishes. The atmosphere was elegant and upscale, making it perfect for a special occasion or a date night. I highly recommend trying Umi for a unique Japanese fine dining experience.

Exceptional sushi! We went all out with the boat! Alaska roll, sunflower roll, sunburst roll, spicy salmon roll, triple roll, and rainbow roll. So many specialty options! They also offer great alcoholic cocktails, hibachi, Thai fried rice, and terriyaki. Highly recommend! Make a reservation so you're not waiting forever.
