Very good! We stayed here in a mood, drove from CLT airport home in TN, and it was not disappointed. Beautiful and attentive staff with hot and very tasteful food, which was quickly served. Very recommended! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sakura Japanese Cuisine:
Their service in the quality of their food has gone downhill I still occasionally get the chicken hibachi and a California roller or two but their prices have skyrocketed for less food that isn't prepared wonderfully. View all feedback.
We've visited this restaurant several times, and each time the food has been hot, fresh, and delicious. The service has also been excellent. We have no complaints at all.
The food was really good, just like our first visit. However, we encountered an issue with the chicken; there were numerous pieces of gristle in the meat. Initially, I found several, and then my husband noticed them as well, leading us to go through several napkins to remove the gristle. We both recalled having a similar problem during our previous visit. Despite wanting to enjoy our meal, this experience made us hesitant to return. We mentioned the issue to our waitress and the man who cleared our table, but instead of an apology, we only received a promise that they would pass along our feedback. Unfortunately, we won't be going back again.
Aside from the Fabuloso smell and the odd 80's music ringing out through the restaurant (we literally got Rick Rolled), we were surprised to eat Crab Rangoons with little filling to start. Teriyaki dishes sucked. Do I really have to pay $45 (for 2 people) to piss myself off? One star for hiring friendly staff.
My family and I chose to visit this restaurant because of its former reputation for excellence, but it has unfortunately experienced a significant decline lately. We had to wait over 15 minutes just for our appetizers, and then another hour for our main courses, which arrived lukewarm, by the way. There's only one other family here besides us, and they've already had their entire order messed up once and are still waiting for their food—I'm not sure how much longer they'll be waiting, as they arrived before us. Sakura used to be one of our favorite places to dine, but I sincerely hope no one else has to endure an experience as dreadful as ours.
I recently visited this restaurant while my car was being serviced at Bryan Easler Toyota. I tried several pieces of sushi, but they all had a strange, soapy taste. I could only manage to eat two pieces and ended up leaving the rest. I really didn't want to pay the bill, but I did, and I felt compelled to warn others—this restaurant's sushi could make you sick. I would advise against dining here.
