We stop and snag a sandwich here every year on our anniversary trip. The food is always great fresh ingredients and well crafted sandwiches. The service is generally quick, polite, and attentive with the exception of one gentleman that can get a little sharp/surly. Seating is a little limited, but the outdoor seating area is really nice. Definitely a good spot to stop in for lunch. View all feedback.
What Faith Sheedy doesn't like about Mountain Deli:
Very just ok . Not a very friendly group working here. No thank you after paying and definitely not smiling . Reuben would have gotten 4 stars if there was meat on it . The meat cutter asked after how the food was and we said, not enough meat , he replied , you should have ordered the New York size . No one gave that option and he said , we don’t like to push that size on anyone . Ridiculous View all feedback.
This is my favorite Restaurant in Hendersonville, no doubt about that. Everything that they make is incredible, though my usual go-to is the Turkey BLT on a Kaiser Roll. Every item is made to order. Every employee I've interacted with is incredibly friendly and does their job very well. The Inside is very clean, though the seats at the booths are a bit hard. There are some nice historical photos of downtown to decorate the inside. The are also a nice collection of tables outside to eat at. This place is mildly on the expensive side, with my sandwich and some lemonade costing me roughly $13.50, along with the tip. The price is very much worth it though, as the quality of the sandwiches is unmatched. When my friend and I visited at roughly 11:45 on a Tuesday and it was very quick to get our food, though I've been some other times where the wait is upwards of twenty minutes due to its popularity. Again, I am willing to wait that long because of how good the sandwiches are. The food quality is more than worth it. If you live or are visiting the Hendersonville area, I cannot recommend this place enough. You must stop here. (Date of Visit: June 25)

Nice deli. Would have been better if their toasting equipment wasn't broken. Hopefully that will be resolved soon. Friendly service.
Usually exceptional but today’s takeout of pastrami sandwich had little meat and chicken salad sandwich was very skimpy on the chicken salad. So disappointing since I bragged how great the deli was to our family. And sadly calling to let them know seemed like a waste of time.
Everything is always fresh, meats are always tender, moist, and smells so good. The staff is very friendly. It's a must try when in downtown Hendersonville.
