Best restaurant I have been to in Helsinki! Came back here after two years and still the food was amazing as always. We ordered the 4 course menu with the wine pairing. Service and atmosphere are also very good. Definitely a place I always recommend to visit.
Outstanding and delicious! We were in Helsinki for a mere 4 hours and in need of a good lunch with outdoor seating. We had the lunch special which was made up of a salad bar and soup for starters (such a fresh and flavourful selection of salads accompanied by a rich cherry tomato soup and fresh bread) and the most perfectly cooked salmon with scrumptious mash and broccoli with a yoghurt herb sauce. The hostess gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home in her establishment. The service was swift and efficient. Once seated at a table in the sun I noticed that the queue never shortened to right out the door. It’s obvious why! I highly recommend visiting Pompier. I’ll certainly go back if we’re here again. Never fails! Tasty and great quality food in perfect portions and with great wines and service. The duck breast and the cheese plate were extraordinary!
Wonderful restaurant highly recommend! The duck for main was truly exceptional. Breads at beginning were also lovely, plus the tarte tatin was very good. Trout (catch of the day) was ok, but could probably skip. Friendly service and decent prices
Had a simply delightful lunch at a pavement table during a quick visit in Helsinki. Orderd at the bar for the lunch special (a salmon dish today) that was affordable and decent in size on its own although we opted for an extended salad-buffe and soup station (cherry tomato with ravioli on the side) with 6 diffent bowls of sallads, grain and fruit. Everything super fresh and appetising looking. Salmon dish served to your table and was equally yummy! (2 lunch+extended salad-buffe incl 2 glasses of wine coffee €75) Had I lived in the area I'd come here for lunch daily, and judging from the line that stretched out the door for our entire 1,5h vist, I am not alone in thinking this... Service allover is very attentive, and despite the popularity, waiting time was negligible and staff constantly clearing plates, bringing water and generally making your visit a joy. Highly recommended! Bonus; They're dog friendly!
