It's a cool and modern place at my favorite street. I love Aleksanterinkatu and everything that is connected, but this new cafe is a great spot for hanging out with a friend or just working remotely, and they have quite a fine selection of cakes and other easy food things to have with coffee, and a plenty of coffee options of course. The cake I had was may be not the most amazing one, same for the coffee, but I anywa... View all feedback.
What 2Sani A (2 1 year ago on Google doesn't like about Paulig Kulma:
This place would be closed down in a month in coffee loving cities like Melbourne or Milan. And I mean proper coffee. Is it any longer acceptable to serve a flat nice that looks like my photo? The viscosity of the milk is wrong. The coffee bean has no character. And forget about latte art. The (very) young servers needs barista training. Come here if you like a cute interior decor and good wifi. But if you're a real... View all feedback.
Amazing place! Great ambience, perfect for group meetings or just working in silence (especially upstairs . I wont even comment on the quality of their coffee and kindness of the staff because around the Helsinki area there's no other place that can compete with theirs! Hopefully I'll be back for their buffet next time :
Great location and atmosphere Staff are nice. I tried their coffee since they are roastey; and their cappuccino is ok but no depth of flavor in their coffee but no bitterness neither. Slight acidic. it is just meh for me personally. The atmosphere, design, and location is AWESOME Price quality ratio is fine. I would definitely come here if I want to chill. Note, what would be great if they have a coffee tasting menu item where you get selection of different filter coffees using different beans.
It’s a “place to be” where you get good and tasty coffee and yummy raw cakes and of course breakfast. It is expensive but I think for the quality and especially for Finland standards it is totally fine. I had breakfast on Sunday, where you choose 3 things from the menu and get a fresh orange juice and coffee (you can refill it included. The atmosphere is stylishly and hip. I also had some raw cakes and the chia pudding. I just can recommend all the food, you wouldn’t be disappointed ;
The food, the coffee, the price and the design are great but there is a real cleaning problem, half of the tables are unusable due to dishes being left on them. It looks like a management problem as there is not enough staff to serve and clean properly. Would help if clients took their tray away themselves in the first place... Still, a place with a lot of potential
Feels like a lunchtime spot for helsinki workers but really sweet layout with cool booths upstairs. Worth checking out.
