Koto - Helsinki

Amazing service and so a sweet experience. we went to my sister's birthday and had reserved a few places before. the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and there were so many possibilities to choose from the menu. I went with the yakiniku, rice, elansuppe (best mistsuppe) and matcha eis. all were very good. my sister took the bentobox and it was very full for her. at the end they bought a piece of matcha cake for my sister with a sparkling candle on it and also gave her a few chiffel the whole experience was great and eating came very fast. we didn't have to wait long for something. I would highly recommend getting a pot of green tea to share with the group! we spent in average 30e per person with appetizer, pornstars and tee!

One of the few Japanese restaurants in Helsinki that offer general Japanese dishes other than just sushi. The food was well-seasoned and very delicious. The KOTO set bento actually made me super full! Matcha ice-cream is home-made and tastes absolutely wonderful. The prices might be a bit high, but I believe it’s worth the experience once in a while.

On our last night in Helsinki, we found a little Japanese restaurant around the corner from our hotel. The food was so delicious and perfectly authentic. Service was good, too. My husband had the yakiniku-don, which he raves about, and I had the Saba shioyaki meal. Everything was fresh and tasty.

Since last visit Koto had changed address, thus that was long time ago. The items in menu remembered me from menu in 1990's. But if it is not broken do not fix it. the traditional food was good stuff.

I love Japan and this restaurant is exactly reflect the soul of Japan! We would like to thank personnel for being so kind and professional. Food was amazing- homey and fresh. Now this is one of my favorite restaurants ever!<3
