This tiny piece of apple pie, the smallest I have ever seen, cost €2.90. I joked at the counter that it must be really delicious, but sadly, it tasted like a mix of sugar and butter, and I did not finish more than a bite, as per the photo. I was looking forward to the earl grey tea cake. Though there was only a slight hint of tea and it was a tad dry. I wish they could tone up the tea flavor. In general, the cakes weren’t that sweet, which is a plus. They just needed more flavor. The puffs were amazing: crunchy and creamy. There were also 2 options for gluten-free cake, which another friend of mine ordered, and seem like she was happy with it. 7/10: might go here again for them puffs
A place for coffee and cake with a quiet ambiance. Was served a great pourover by the nice lady at the counter.

I asked for a refund but was refused because I had taken a bite from it.
Specialty coffee afficionado entered the chat...The only good thing about El Fant is the fact it is located in the city centre, within the two mins from the Christmas market. Nice place just to have a bite and drink something warm on these cold winter days. But the coffee experience has been the worst one so far. The cappuccino was absolutely tasteless, no flavours in the single espresso base. As for my friend's filter coffee, the same story. Quite strange, given the fact, I brewed filter coffee using the beans from Good Life Roasters some time ago, and it was not mind-blowing, but, nevertheless, pretty much okay. Unfortunately, cannot recommend this place for true coffee lovers, otherwise, you might get disappointed.
We stopped off at El Fant during a short visit to Helsinki nice coffee drinks, cakes cookie's. Good relaxing vibes, calm interior design and friendly staff. A stones throw from the harbour and cathedral, and a short walk to the central shopping district would recommend :
