What User doesn't like about Papadam:
Walked in for dinner. Initially communicating was a problem with the Indian looking staff but another one came up and I could communicate in English. Food quality was below average. It looked like Indian food but tasted very different- to the negative side. Too much...MSG and clearly made of the bottled curry pastes from supermarkets. I have sampled all the Indian restaurants in Helsingborg, but this particular one truly serves authentic Indian cuisine.
Papadam is a real jewel with dishes tasting significantly better than most other restaurants in the same price range. My favorites are Karai and Vindaloo. The grilled chicken in the Karai is simply delicious.
Indian cuisine restaurant led by a beautiful Sri Lanka couple for the last 20 years. Daal Saag is quite close to the authentic dhaba Daal that you return to India. But this is the only Indian restaurant in the city that cooks close to Indian cuisine. The service was good and the Hindi and Punjabi songs fit the ambience.
Very good food, the Curry and the Naanbrot were fantastic. However, the Briyani was more of rice with Masala and not authentic briyani. The price was reasonable. The service was good.
Quite good Indian food, very reasonable prices. Although I wouldn't mind a richer taste and more spices, I'd be happy to come back!
