Gasthof Zur Post - Helenenburg

We were a large group generations of small children to grandparents) there for week, in apartments in a building next to the main house. we liked the apartments, the only thing we missed: there was no microwave oven. breakfast was plentiful, wide. selection very good. we had dinner menu, very tasty, nicely served. a big problem, however, was for us the very slow service we had to spend every evening in the restaurant that found our whole group unacceptable. maybe a personal shortage?

The good news on Jan The food was good but it should have been outstanding for min of waiting for it.. And no, it wasn't the course thing .. We waited that long for the kid's Schnitzel, noodels and beef....And no, it wasn't outstanding. Complaining after hour about the fact that my year old daughter was about to pass out if her dinner will not be on the table soon let to an interesting answer: it's because we ordered soup first for the kids and .. all people are arriving at pm. That's why it takes so long.. Ok, got it.. It was obviously our fault. After min my daughter passed out.. I complained again . min later her Schnitzel arrived. We tried to wake her up, no chance. The Schnitzel was Not touched. So my wife and me ate very quickly before our daughter felt asleep. And to round up our impression of how not to treat your guests I find on the check the kid's Schnitzel for and still no appology. .. So my New Year's resolution: I will not visit this restaurant again ..

Fine Austrian menu. we had real white carving in butterschmalz, absolutely top. the service very friendly to the necessary warmth.

We had chosen for a family and friends celebration of this restaurant and all were enthusiastic! the board that was arranged for us extra was perferkt and lovingly decorated, and the eating was simply "a tight!" eyewitness and gourmetgenuss perfect! we had all (13 p.) 'a la carte the foods and got them served at the same time (not in other restaurants always self-contained). The excellent quality of the ingredients - and above all - everything is fresh and prepared in your own kitchen! no convenience products. and the price-performance ratio is also very good.One can only say: a secret tip for anyone who knows excellent!

If you pass the gastronomics, you wouldn't believe which raw diamond awaits discovery. Outside, the restaurant resembles a usual village inn and is more likely to expect mediocre, and this is also the only critical point - the gastgarten could be upgraded in punkto deko. the glamour of the restaurant are however service and kitchen. first of all very striving, always present and the desire of the gastes already distracting from the eyes, but it always remains necessary to maintain. very different to eat. so surprises a greeting from the kitchen in the shape of the deck - you know immediately, the cook is on higher. the menu is kept short, according to the classic Austrian gatshof kitchen with local kolorit. the food itself impresses with the quality in the presentation that is still surpassed by the taste. the whole then, however, at absolutely usual gastronomic prices - a real price/performance tipp, here just everything is right. all the more surprising, because in the gasteinertal you find the opposite. look in!
