We drove by and decided to take a chance, and we're so glad we did! The hospitality and food were incredible! We even had the chance to speak with the owner, who is currently in the process of redesigning the restaurant. The interior is beautiful, and he is also working on improvements for the outside. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we will definitely be returning! View all feedback.
Large portions, quality ingredients, friendly service. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the cook was a pretty slow (15 minutes) making appetizers and the ice machine was noticeably loud sitting in the dining room.
*Literally* the worst food and service in Schuylkill County, and I 've lived here all my life. Don 't be misled by the last review; there are no crab legs anymore. It 's a cute little place, but the food is on par with what you would expect if sh*tfaced drunk frat boys were cooking. I ate about three or four of the dripping grease balls they call breaded mushrooms, which was a huge mistake, because an hour and a half later I still feel sick, and I also ate half of what their idea is of a cheesesteak . I 've honestly had much better food in cafeterias. But the real kicker is that they weren 't busy at all and had four staff for around 10-12 customers, and it still took almost an entire HOUR for me to place a take out order and have it brought out, when the food takes, like, a couple of minutes to cook on the grill or in a deep fryer. The staff wouldn 't even look at me for the first 5-10 minutes I was there and waited another 10 minutes to take my order, which should have been my clue to walk out, but I was starving in the middle of nowhere, just passing through, no other options in town. I would not suggest making the same mistake unless you are close to the brink of death from starvation. You 'll be better off just trying to make it to the nearest gas station for some chips and beef jerky.
My husband and I had a reservation last night. We were seated right away and were served drinks, but that was where the service pretty much ended. We ordered 2 sandwiches, and it took 45 minutes. The place was not busy at all. When I asked (I had to leave my table because no one had checked on us once in the 45 minutes we were there) the server/bartender about our food, she said she would check on it. She came back a few minutes later to tell us they were putting everything together. Let me remind you, we only ordered sandwiches. During that time, our drinks were empty, and she didn't offer us another. When our food was finally served, I asked for the check and boxes because we had to leave to get to my son's football game. This place wouldn't survive in the city or even suburbs. I am a server at at pretty busy restaurant, and understand sometimes things happen to delay service, but this was absolutely ridiculous!
Glad I didn't read the negative reviews before going. The service was excellent and friendly. The cheese steak has to rank up there with the top contenders. It was like an Italian steak with peppers, onion, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Will have to go back to try the other menu items.
This place is great. very sad that it is closed on the 15th juni.
