My boyfriend and I decided to do something special for date night so we visited The Nordic Yurt. First of all, the sunset snowshoeing from the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center to the Yurt was so beautiful. Not too challenging and incredibly scenic views of the surrounding mountains and valley. The Yurt itself is spacious yet cozy and has such a nice ambience. There is also a firepit area on the porch where you can take your drink and enjoy the crisp mountain air and views! Talk about a photo op! Dinner was also a highlight. Each course we had was delicious! The owners, Kate and Bryan, are a young, local couple and are meticulous and thoughtful about designing the best experience for their guests! We had such an unforgettable night and plan to come back again soon with our friends and family!
We had the most amazing time dining at the Nordic Yurt! Booking was super simple and the website was very detailed with all the info we needed.The owners (Kate and Brian) were very helpful with any questions we had, and our guide (Chris) was amazing and a wealth of knowledge on Utah outdoors!We can't wait to come back soon!
Bryan is a very knowledgeable experienced teacher. We took advantage of WAO Fly Fishing in between seasons while visiting Park City UT. It was a ton of fun quickly learning and applying the fly fishing techniques Bryan teaches. All poles, equipment, and waders were provided. All around a great time!
The snowshoeing and yurt dinner was such a fun and romantic activity. We did a 1/2 mile snowshoe trip to the yurt, ate a four course meal, hung out by the fire and enjoyed our evening. The owner Kate was so kind and such a great guide. The price was a bit steep but I guess it was worth it, being that we were there for 3 hours. The dinner was great (description in pics) and the yurt was so cozy. Snowshoeing was a lot of fun; very easy trail so anyone could do it. Super fun s'mores for dessert that we got to make ourselves. With hot chocolate. They also had three different types of cookies to try. Great Vday date and they were very respectful of the Covid rules.
Fantastic experience with WAO yesterday going fly fishing. Brian was fun, knowledgeable and patient with us newbies!
