Three vegan dishes caught my eye, and I decided to try the hotpot with noodles. It was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it. My family also enjoyed their sweet and savory dishes. The staff was friendly and efficient. Overall, a visit to this restaurant is definitely worth it. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about White Lion:
The White Lion offers some vegan options and the staff are knowledgeable about allergens. However, the available options are quite expensive for what they offer. The veggie hotpot was priced at 14 and the veggie burger at 12, which was advertised as vegan and gluten-free but later it was discovered that the GF beer was not vegan. The veggie burger was dry, without vegan cheese or sauce, and appeared old. Overall, it... View all feedback.
Here for dinner and eat clearly characterized vegan. the personal had good knowledge of veganism and advised us that the chips were fried in the same oil as fish. She then checked with the chef, the oil had been advised just changed, so would be okay. we shared the sweet potato starter, which tasted delicious and then I had the fungus lasagne, which was very tasty and the mushrooms had a nice taste. husband had good burger and chips. beautiful atmosphere in pub.
The White Lion has some vegan options and the staff are knowledgeable by allergens, but unfortunately the available options are really expensive for what you get £14 for a veggie hotpot! . Did the Veggie Burger for £12 that can be advertised to be vegan GF, but later it was said that the GF bunge was not vegan. Were the full price calculated, although not able to have a Burger beacon. The Veggieburger was dry, no vegan cheese or sauce and took age. Overall, it was a super disappointing experience, especially known as Hebden, to be a very vegan/GF-friendly place. Definitely better and cheaper! to eat in Hebden.
There were three vegan nets that sound good, I had the hotpot with frits that was really delicious and would definitely recommend. My family had vegetables and meat dishes that were just as good. Friendly and efficient staff. Worth a visit.
The menu has been updated since the previous review. There is only one salad (absorb feta to be made vegan), a burger (absorb the aioli be vegan) or a hot pot as main dishes. The burger was beautiful, but definitely nothing special for £12. In addition, the service was very bad. We waited an hour to eat without warning that it would wait a long time. I wouldn't recommend it. Much better places in the hedge bridge for vegans.
