What User likes about The Trellis Cafe:
My father and I popped in for a quick Sunday lunch and enjoyed our meals very much. The seafood chowder was absolutely amazing. Probably some of the best I've had and better yet… Gluten-free. That's a rare find in Nova Scotia. As a seafood chowder lover that has a wheat sensitivity – I can't tell you how exciting it was to discover this fact! View all feedback. What User doesn't like about The Trellis Cafe:
The place needs a lot of help. It is really dated. Food was decent but you shouldn't look into the kitchen. Flooring should be replaced in the kitchen etc. Service was friendly. The bathrooms are in bad shape. Paper towel dispenser didn't work in the men's wash room and there was no soap available. My wife said the women's wash room was no better. Wouldn't go back again. read moreThe restaurant offers a mix of good and bad experiences - from uncomfortable seating to fantastic seafood chowder and delicious desserts. While prices may be high, the food is consistently fantastic. The patio is a highlight in the summer months, and the restaurant is a good choice in the Hubbards area, despite some service and decor issues. Overall, it's a worthwhile stop for those exploring the southern coastal route of Nova Scotia or residing in Hubbards.
