The beef in the beef s... read more The restaurant is a bit off the beaten past. It’s definitely a neighborhood favorite. The food is tasty, just the right amount of spices. The beef in the beef stew was of good quality. The fried plantains were very good and the different rices were a welcome surprise. The young woman behind the counter could not have been nicer. She was upbeat and truly eager to help. She took the time to explain each of the dishes to us. I was glad to see both of the women behind the counter had their hair back and covered. The other diners appeared to be regulars, who were all genuinely happy to see each other. There is a real feeling of community. They all tried to make us feel welcome. If you find yourself in Hazleton, by all means go. If you live in Hazleton, go, or order delivery.
