What User doesn't like about Malabar House:
Called in to try somewhere that we had not been before. Service started well but degraded very quickly as they were understaffed. Restaurant was less than half full but the 2 staff could not cope. Fortunately the food was very tasty, but this was spoilt...by having to wait nearly an hour for main course to arrive. View all feedback.
We have tried several restaurants in South Australia but none of them has bowled us over as this one.We pride ourselves on our Eastern home cooked meals and have never been satisfied while eating out. This was an exception and I had not only eaten a good meal but also my words. My mum who often criticised us on eating out, she was with us, and kept on praising the food.Surprisingly, the service was so swift that we just couldn't believe that a nearly packed restaurant too could be that responsive. We ordered both northern and South Indian cuisine and every dish was superbly delicious. It may sound unbelievable but trust me, I am the worst critic of overseas Indian restaurants but this was truly an exception.I am definitely going back!Thank you
Indian lunch for mother's day. Very good food especially goat curry and butter chicken. String hoppers were good. Multiple veg dishes were available.
Zambrero!! Where have you been all my life? So many delicious options to choose from at Zambrero - Tacos, quesadillas, Dos capas, Chips & dips, Burritos
We found this place from the entertainment book and decided to give it on a Saturday night. We were the only table in the restaurant for a while and have placed our order right away. It was a long wait for our food to come, almost 45 minutes, think there were only two tables, including us. We ordered two main beef vindaloo and another beef dish, a dosa as a supplement, and a rice and a glass of wine. Dosa was beautiful, the best of all dishes. Vindaloo was so upset, the most balanced Vindaloo I've ever had, and I can tell you I had many Vindaloos, in fact I only ordered Vindaloo at dinner in Indian restaurants. This is the WORST Vindaloo. The other beef was okay not to write anything at home, just like rice. When we asked about the bill and pointed out that we have the entertainment book voucher with one main and get a main free of charge. We were told that they did not accept any entertainment book voucher anymore because the business was sold recently! We insisted that they should honor the deal because it is their problem that they do not advise the change of property. The waitress came back and gave us the bill and said they had taken off the Dosa. I asked if Dosa is a main meal, she said yes. Wow, a price equal to a starter, you tell me it's a main, interesting! Put the entertainment book problem, only the food itself was not very pleasant enough to not come back, let alone the dishonor and dishonor of the owner and waiter. If you do so, I wish you good luck, because you will need it. And now I can understand why there were only two tables for the whole night!!!!
Fantastic food, the main wait is good, the beverage service a little slow. Have eaten twice in this restaurant and cannot wait to go back. Every dish we had was full of taste, curry yarns, corma, butter chicken, Rogan Josh, all brilliant.
