What amizle mayer likes about Carmen Family B-q:
The best BBQ in California, without a doubt. You can't top a 50-year-old family recipe. It's important to support small, family-owned businesses. The customer service is outstanding. Thank you, Sean! View all feedback. What B I doesn't like about Carmen Family B-q:
I visited this restaurant on a Sunday and paid $28. I received a slice of wheat bread that cost a dollar, some unpleasant mashed potatoes, and tough brisket. I do not recommend this restaurant, and the owner seemed more concerned with putting on a movie than providing good service. View all feedback.

read moreNestled in the heart of the Bay Area, this family-owned barbecue spot has garnered mixed reviews over the years. Patrons rave about the outstanding chicken ribs and the slow-cooked brisket, celebrating the rich history of flavors cultivated from a 50-year-old family recipe. However, some customers lament the inconsistency in food quality, citing issues with dry meat and unappetizing sides, alongside frustrating customer service experiences. Despite the ups and downs, many agree that the ambience and dedication to community remains strong, making it a notable destination for barbecue aficionados. Whether it's a nostalgic trip or a new adventure, expectations may vary, but the underlying love for local cuisine endures.
Food is good, but service is not so good. You do not have a functional credit card system so you sometimes have to pay cash and they are expensive.
