Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant Bijou has undergone changes in terms of menu, food, and atmosphere. While some patrons enjoyed the new Cajun cuisine, others found it to be a disappointment compared to the fine dining experience they had previously. Issues with slow service, loud music, and rowdy bar patrons were reported, leading some to recommend avoiding the restaurant altogether. One customer's experience on Valentine's Day was particularly negative, with problems related to the use of a Groupon and the change in ownership. Despite these challenges, some diners have praised the new management for their efforts to improve the restaurant. With a successful restaurateur at the helm, the modern and elegant setting of Bijou in downtown Hayward is attracting positive feedback for its exquisite menu items and top-notch service. Overall, it seems like the restaurant is in a period of transition, with mixed reviews from customers as the new management works to establish a new identity for the establishment.
This is not BIJOU anymore The name of the place is PLAYT If you remember hearing that PICANS in Oakland will be moving, it has moved.
Why is it that on both occasions where I have visited Bijou it's been close to empty- when I've heard that this place was once crackin? It actually makes me
Great cocktails!! We were a group of 10, and the server was very accommodating with our orders and special requests.
This restaurant has changed hands and is not the same place either by name or eating. also the waiting staff seemed quite boring. as soon as we realized we left.
Bijou is now closed. I made a reservation with open table from a link on the bijou website, but when we came to the restaurant, they had an opening party for the new restaurant called playt. I guess bijou has never been worried about leaving her website.
