My stirring frit was delicious, but I would have liked to find more mushrooms in it, there were not many. The free honey cookies were also good. Husband had an open beef sandwich and potatoes, it wasn't quite well rounded until I gave him half of my vegetables. We were both full and satisfied.
Professors is the best place to go in Hays when it comes to a healthy, light meal option. The staff are so friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to enjoy lunch with a friend!
Local, personality, friendly, tasty. Portions are smaller. Sandwich and chips. Good salads! Mushrooms grown in the basement.
The food here is fresh and flavorful, and I really appreciate the farm-to-table concept. They incorporate local honey into as many dishes as possible. We started with the tomato soup, which was prepared with fresh organic tomatoes and definitely had that homemade taste. We also tried the BLT served on Texas toast. While it was a simple sandwich, it was generously filled with bacon. We ordered the honey lemonade, which was quite enjoyable. Additionally, the meal included two complimentary cookies. These were made with whole grains and sweetened with honey, although they were nothing remarkable. Overall, we had a great dining experience, but I found $25 for just two sandwiches to be a bit steep.
