Hickok's Steakhouse - Hays

I had an absolutely wonderful steak here. Our waiter was an attentive and very personable young man (16yo) — diligent, hard-working, and well-mannered. The atmosphere was very comfortable. It was really a delight to eat here.

Been here a few times now and both times steak was under cooked then over cooked…

We have eaten here twice during our travels in Kansas. The first time the food and service were excellent. The food was seasoned great. The fried mushrooms are the best. We came back a second time a few months later. The service was still excellent, but the food was not seasoned as well as the first time we visited. The fried mushrooms were still tasty. We will stop here again if in the area, at least for the mushrooms, and to try something new on the menu.

Excellent food, excellent service, and great prices! We were traveling through and stopped here, hoping for a quick but homestyle meal, we were not disappointed! Service was quick, and our waitress, Cynthia, was great and stopped by at just the right times. We ordered the chicken fried chicken, and the blackened tilapia.
