Nice place, food was good and the food came quickly. They weren't busy at all so we got in and out quickly. Ordered beef fajitas, chicken fajitas and taco platter. Tasted really good. Salsa was good, chips pretty good. Not bad for Hays, Kansas! The server wasn't rude but just wasn't very friendly. We would probably return if back in Hays. What Duane Wente doesn't like about El Dos Mexican:
This place used to be a go-to. Maybe it still is, but don't go on a Sunday. Orders were wrong, food was below average, hair was in the salsa, and the server checked on us once during the meal. I'll be going somewhere else for a while. View all feedback.
Very good restaurant, delicious Mexican food, good service and a pleasant atmosphere.
Stopped by passing through and food was really good! Got tacos ? #9 and #4. Kid-friendliness: Seemed kid friendly had a kid menu. Chairs were decorated colorfully with fun bird/people/pepper renderings.
Just ordered some food to go and it was amazing! Just what the family needed after a long drive today, picked up nachos and burritos to go from El Dos and we were not disappointed! We loved the yummy food ate it at our hotel and I especially enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay while waiting for my order make sure to stop here!
Food and service were terrible tonight. Margaritas are premade with a cheap mix. Chile rellenos are soggy, ground beef has no flavor, red enchilada sauce is from a can.
Stopped here on our way back to Colorado. This was quite possibly the worst Mexican food we have ever had. I ordered the chile rellano and cheese enchilada. The sauce on the rellano tasted like spaghetti sauce and the cheese in the enchilada tasted like Velveeta. Not sure why the reviews are so good. Taco Bell has better Mexican food than this place.
