Good food, but overpriced. I had a breakfast sandwich, which was fine, but cost $10. We also got here early in the morning and they just had muffins come out of the oven. I asked for a muffin and the cashier pointed me to a pre-wrapped day old muffin. Maybe two or three days old. Overall, after the expensive breakfast sandwich, I wasn't too excited to pay $4.50 for a basic muffin. The thing is, this is basically the only place you can get food at the Hayden airport. The alternative would be the random vending machines throughout the airport. If you show up to the airport hungry, bring your wallet and don't expect anything great.
Sadly, I have to update my previous review to just two stars now. Way Station has significantly decreased options while significantly increasing prices. The prices are really outrageous and only really work because it's the only option past security. My husband and I split the French dip sandwich, which like last time was tasty but nothing crazy. It cost $15 and came with a tiny bag of chips. I also got a chai tea latte, which was $6 for a small! The other menu items were similarly expensive a soft pretzel was $8. It's also interesting that when you pay on the ipad they have, when they turn it to you to sign, it automatically adds a tip (which you might not notice unless you're paying attention). Really disappointed that Way Station has gotten more expensive while decreasing options...I highly recommend getting sandwiches in town at Backcountry Delicatessen and just bringing them with you.
Extremely overpriced. They are pretty much the only option if you are hungry at the airport, so they can charge whatever they want to. It is pretty much concession food with gas station quality. The food was actually gross. Hard to go wrong with a French dip sandwich and a cheeseburger, but somehow they've figured out how! Approximately $15/meal (sandwich and bag of chips) and drink not included. And $7 for a hotdog. Probably the kind made out of ground up skin, fat, and wood chips that you buy in bulk for 3 cents/dog. 2 stars for convenience.
Want a quick bite to eat on the way to my flight got a pretzel with cheese. The cheese was almost cold and the pretzel was hard. The staff was unhelpful and disorganized.
