Polanco Modern Mexican Steakhouse

I went in for my birthday and it was fantastic. From the food to the service it was all amazing.

I was happily surprised for a hotel restaurant to be this good.

I have been here several times. I have been for lunch once before, but have been several times for dinner. Obviously I usually enjoy the place. However, just went on Sunday and it was an epic fail! There were only a few other customers. First, there was no bartender on duty. Second, the waiter’s brain was definitely elsewhere. Then, we had to ask 3x for chips and salsa. Then, He confirmed our orders twice only seconds after he wrote them down. Then wait for it: Only for both of our orders to be totally incorrect. When I refused the food he was about to put in front of me, he said he would check to see what could be done. That was supremely irritating because he got the order wrong. I literally did not order that and remember he confirmed our order multiple times prior to sending order to the kitchen! Ten minutes later he comes back and finally says they would replace my order. Then I tell him how I want my rib eye cooked and he comes back with a suggestion from the kitchen about how to cook it. I finally said just cancel the order. We paid for our salads (which were delish! and left and went to another mexican restaurant to satisfy our craving for Mexican.

It was great!! Loved the place and ambiance. Food was delicious and great portions. Drinks were great! The paloma was my favorite.
