This unassuming building has pretty legit food! Unlike most Pakistani/Indian restaurants in the US, this place does not Americanize the food as much. The food does have a good amount of spice and flavor. I suggest going with their dinner special. It’s reasonably priced at $13, and it comes with a smorgasbord of different curries as well as a piece of tandoori chicken, a seekh kebab, and naan. It is more than enough f... View all feedback.
What Sina Net doesn't like about Al Watan Halal Tandoori:
We ordered mixed kebab and received chicken only which was burned. We left all the kebabs as it was and ate the bread with chutney and plain rice and finally paid full amount. Really bad and completely scammed Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 View all feedback.
I go to a lot of restaurants in the United States for 7 years for desi-life, but I swear I never eat so delicious and fresh food especially the bread woow. I recommend visiting this place. Whenever I go back to LA, I will visit. Especially thanks to KAKA Je He was amazingly nice person.
I and my friend had a chance to eat here. The outside view of the restaurant is so and the parking lot is problematic. In the restaurant everything is much better than view. Although furniture is a bit old, but restaurant is clean and tidy. Well organized. Many families and individuals enjoy eating. Our food was served after our order. Taste was excellent and service was good. The staff was very cooperative. Very good money. Very recommended. Wish them good luck.
Really delicious food. No kidding. I've been feeding here for 10 years. Always tasteful
May 2022. After reading all Raving reviews, almost an hour went to try them. We ordered her highly recommended beef Nihari, Mix tandoori Platter, Aloo palak , naan, and decided to finish on a sweet note with Kheer and Chai. We stayed there during the noon of 1:15 on Sunday. At first came a plate of garden salad, with wild salad, so we decided to say we didn't want the salad. Next came the big Tandoori plate smoke and sizzling) yo my surprise was only the record base was sizzling. All cababs were cold, tough and dry. Like it might have been really old, maybe last night) and already a few times microwave. They came the Nihari and Palak. Nihari was decent 6/10) but hard on the Elaichi. Aloo palak was a hit. Delicious, fresh and delicious. Kheer was basically cunning rice pudding. 2/10) As a Southeast Asian decentness, I know something or two of what these dishes should look, taste and be presented. Let's talk to Chai! If it's not done, they can politely say they haven't prepared. Instead, they sent $2/mug and brought a warm not piping hot) cup of milk with a hint of beige ink that you get after a few dives of a tea bag. I am used to Pakwan and Shalimar in the NorCal Bay Area) level of taste and freshness, and this was by far a definition of disappointment today. Restaurant dining area was overall clean. The remaining room had a puddle of water on the floor and around the sink. A good restaurant will have great business and longevity only if they contain quality, service and cleanliness in one. It's not a simple task, but you have to master it to stay in the game.
