I joined as a reader today and surprised myself by spending all day there to finish a book. It’s been a long time since I had a full day to be quiet and do something like that! A beautiful and unique place. Service: 5 Location: 5 View all feedback.
We went for lunch only to find they don't serve lunch after 2pm sadly (it was 2:10pm when we walked in) perhaps extend to 2:30pm for late walkers?
Met with friends for lunch in fabulous listed building with interesting history. Nice lunch in Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Quiet
Amazing place, worked in library. The dining was fabulous, best vegan bettered only by the Allotment in Manchester. Rooms are stylish and functional. The honesty bar in the evening was welcome and allowing a total technology detox for my stay, as chat or read options primarily. Food drinks: Excellent vegetarian and vegan options Noteworthy details: Library, gardens and in delightful village Rooms: 5
A hidden gem for anyone wanting a reading retreat Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
Beautiful building, lovely atmosphere. A very polite quietly spoken gentleman took our order in the restaurant and the cakes and coffee were divine. Only downside was the noise from the kitchen, the staff were talking in really loud voices which spoilt the peaceful experience Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 5
