Was DanHBoyle at Puddledock Farm And Fishery a mag?
After a 3.5km walk with our dog, we decided to stop here for breakfast (despite the 4 way traffic lights on St Mary's Lane). I don't recall ever having a bad meal from here and today was no exception despite the fact it was busy with cyclists. The service was quick and the food was hot so there is nothing negative to say. The weather really helped so we sat outside but what I didn't understand was how someone we don'... View all feedback.

What topmedsec dislikes about Puddledock Farm And Fishery:
Came as a hubby fishes here sometimes. Decided to try the sunday roast. Not great. 3 roast potatoes veg watery gravy watery tiny amount of meat. Dessert very bland. Staff are lovely. Think the day menu is better value. Wont rush back for roast. Breakfast lunches etc much better value. View all feedback.

I must admit I have to review on the meal we had and the day we visited. I see other reviews giving it 5 stars so that is good. Ours must have been an off day. Food was very average. Order was wrong but apparently that was our mistake. I don't mind a greasy spoon if the quality of food is good but for us on this occasion it wasn't. I had been here a few times before, don't know if it's changed hands but due to being bog standard we will look elsewhere as a lot of competition in upminster as per my other reviews.

Proper greasy spoon style. Tasty bacon, nice sausage, crispy Hash Brown. Big tasty fried egg. Proper quality food and lots of it. Huge toast (that came pre buttered, which I like for so many reasons) Passed the dry hash brown test (they don't bury it under the beans or tomato making it soggy, excellent, tick) Got my order right by excluding mushroom, happy days. Not the poshest of places but it's not intending to be, which is great because they focus on the food quality and cost to the punter. The only thing I forgot was to leave them a tip, regrettably.

Located on Puddledock Farm, this cafe offers a range of options from breakfast to Sunday lunch. While some reviewers mention disappointing experiences with certain dishes, overall, the cafe seems to cater to a wide variety of customers. With friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere, it's a popular spot for anglers, lunching ladies, business meetings, and more. Despite some mixed reviews on specific meals, many praise the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. With clean facilities, ample parking, and a welcoming vibe, it's a place that seems to have something for everyone.

I frequently visit this restaurant for breakfast as it is a popular spot. Most recently, I enjoyed Sunday Lunch with friends and was impressed by the high quality of the homemade and fresh food served. I highly recommend it.

This is one of the best Christmas dinners I have ever had at a restaurant. It felt like a home-cooked meal with all the festive trimmings, served by friendly staff. It was a truly delightful dining experience.

The restaurant has really gone downhill. The menu is in need of a refresh. The sausage plait was not good, as the pastry seemed microwaved and was hard. The quality of the vegetables has also declined from what it used to be.

I don't know about the actual farm and fishery but is quite rude when I call to ask a few questions and I get the phone hunged up on my face. The guy who I spoke to was very rude as if he didn't want to be there. That makes me not want to ever be a customer of this company. Is just very frustrating how people cannot simply say cannot or do not want to help instead of hanging up the phone.
