The restaurant is located in a great area, just minutes west of La Habana Vieja. (10 minutes drive) It is embedded in a quiet place, safe with lots of green. When you arrive first, we were immediately greeted and sitting (on the way they speak; English, Spanish, French and Italian). Everything tasted fresh and was made to order. The Focaccia was amazing. What User doesn't like about La Carboncita:
The service was terrible overall. There were no additional amenities at the restaurant to benefit customers eg toilets or wifi. My party and I had to reach out to two members of staff before we were served. When you arrive first, we were immediately greeted and sitting (on the way they speak; English, Spanish, French and Italian). Everything tasted fresh and was made to order. The Focaccia was amazing. We also had a mozzarella packed in Prosciutto ham surrounded by tomatoes that was really delicious. Our pasta (old dente) with fresh shrimps and well seasoned. The service was impeccable. Then the desserts... Flan, Mamey Ice Cream came in his bowl, and we also ordered a pineapple-cococolos scarf that was the forging on the meal. My family and I highly recommend this place and cannot wait to visit again when we are in Havana!
Nice rooms food good but no water in hotel in the morning ordered from room service it was good
Great food. Expert service. Warm and peaceful place. One of the great Havanas, definitely a must.
The service was terrible overall. There were no additional amenities at the restaurant to benefit customers eg toilets or wifi. My party and I had to reach out to two members of staff before we were served. The items on the menu were already limited and when we were placing our order it became apparent that of those even less were available. None of the dishes were satisfactory: the pasta was not cooked well and the pizza was appalling. The base was very doughy and soggy, the toppings and the cheese were not at all appetising. The prices on the other hand were much too high for the meals we received.
Fatal experience !! One of the workers brought in his hands a half-poisoned cat by the same workers, and with great fury shot the cat against a wall! In Cuba there is no animal protection law, but that can not always be the justification. I do not recommend the place, seeing this kind of thing is detestable.
