Great Local Place. This place was recommended by some locals. We stopped in for lunch. The place is quaint and has a great small town atmosphere. I ordered the furikake chicken, and my wife ordered the surf turf. The food was Ono with good portions. They even brought our food to our table. We bought a few things in the store also, and Ethel was awesome. She gave us some great local tips. We 'll definitely be back. Mahalo Kayas.

Kaya's is not much as far as store front but a great value with great food. Tucked in the back corner of a market along the Kamehameha Hwy on the left if going towards Laie, Kaya's offers a small menu with a big punch. This was one of those finds that resulted from a search and the reviews were spot on. We ordered a Loco Moco, Hamburger steak and a couple of Butter Mochi and Musubi...for three of us. Anyone that knows Hawaiian food knows this is probably enough to feed six. The food came out quickly and was awesome. We ate and ate and ate off of those plates to where we could hardly walk afterwards. The seating area is outside under a shelter and makes for a nice area to sit and eat. Service was super friendly. Oh, this was out first time trying butter mochi and we are definitely hooked! It sits in a small basket at the register and is about $1.99 per piece (if memory serves me correctly) and worth every penny!

This store was directly across from our Airbnb. They carry essential items and also cook food to go! We even bought a sushi roll from there to eat! Everything was good and the people there were very friendly and helpful!

This is a local store/kitchen that was opened in 1946. The plate lunches are very good, and the servings are large. We ate at a covered table outside the store, and it was very enjoyable.

Heard great things so had high expectations but all the donut dough tastes the same and it's heavy and oily. Struggled to finish 2 donuts with my husband who loves sweets.
