Contribute FeedbackArriving by barge we moored ourselves right in front of this cheerful hotel / bar / restaurant. We stopped by for an afternoon beer and checked out the menu…….looked Ok without being exceptional but the staff were friendly and so we made a reservation as suggested by the staff…seemed a bit odd as we are largely in the middle of no-where.We returned at 7.30 pm to a near full restaurant………hmm, good sign, well, this place is billed as an Italian restaurant and true, there were some dishes that looked and sounded Italian but not that many! However, the food WAS EXCELLENT, and great value too.We opted for a set menu at 13.80 for which we had a choice of 3 entrees, two main courses and four desserts. Wife went for the tomato & mozzarella salad she said was excellent, I, carnivore went for the Italian charcuterie plate….also excellent, followed respectively with Pork chop with mustard sauce & fresh pasta and forme chicken with cream sauce and pasta…..I tried both and was very pleased with both. Desserts ranged from the usual choice of ice creams and sorbets to a delicious trio of pannacotta desert – red fruits, caramel and chocolate…a top pick by far. Two aperatifs and a bottle of Italian red wine the total bill came to 54 euros.Good value? You bet, eat here again? Anytime. Recommend it ? You can count on it.
