4.4 / 5 (825 reviews)

Description

Perched on Hauser Lake, D-Macs blends warm, family-friendly hospitality, live music and picturesque waterfront views with a casual bar-and-grill menu and frequent daily specials. Diners praise generous portions, friendly staff and desserts, while accessibility, parking and kids' activities earn points. However, expect variability: reviewers report inconsistent food quality, slow service at times, limited beer options and occasional staffing or supply issues, plus higher bar prices on some nights.

We the People... It's time for this establishment that caters to tourists to wake up! The bar prices are outrageously high, and the owner seems to be inebriated and forgetful, often not recalling what he said the night before. Locals should seriously reconsider supporting a place that doesn't recognize that We the People ultimately decide which businesses succeed. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

This is a cozy, hidden gem of a bar. We joined our local family for dinner here. Although the space is small, it feels inviting. The attached restaurant featured a live band and dancing, adding to the atmosphere. The menu was what you'd expect from a typical bar, but there weren’t many beer options available. We enjoyed the food; we ordered nachos and chicken strips, which were tasty. Service was somewhat slow, and they did mix up one of our orders, but that’s pretty much what we anticipated at a place like this.

A group of six adults and two children visited D-Macs by the lake, and we had quite an experience. After waiting for 46 minutes and 31 seconds without anyone taking our orders, the chef finally emerged. He looked a bit disheveled, and we were taken aback by his unprofessional behavior. To our disappointment, our waitress later informed us that they couldn't serve any food because the chef had overindulged. To make matters worse, the only two patrons at the bar had consumed all the Bud Light, which is the only beer they offer. We couldn't even get a drink. Ultimately, we had to leave and find somewhere else to eat and drink, which fortunately turned out to be Curley's, just under two miles away.
