Ward's - Hattiesburg

I always make it a point to visit Ward's whenever I'm in Hattiesburg. It holds wonderful memories for me, and the food is still amazing!

The food was delicious, the service excellent, and the restaurant was spotless. However, I did have one issue: the employees were extremely loud, often hollering instead of speaking. To add to the annoyance, there were multiple instances of foul language, which made the atmosphere quite noisy. Aside from the lack of a peaceful lunch experience, everything else was fantastic, as always.

I should have taken a hint from my previous experience at another restaurant. I don't recommend ordering fish at a burger joint. Additionally, please make sure to remove the gray parts from the fish and serve it with tartar sauce. Thank you!

My husband and I are in Hattiesburg for work and kept noticing "Wards" restaurant, so we thought, why not give it a try? We don't have anything like it near our home. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted, and a lovely young lady at the counter shared the history of the place and its signature dishes. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and it was clear she took pride in her work, which was a breath of fresh air! She also offered us a sample of the root beer, which was just as delicious as she had described—mmm! Gabby is truly an exemplary employee; her positive energy set the tone for our entire visit. In fact, we're returning for breakfast in the morning! Thank you, Gabby, for bringing smiles to our faces and encouraging us to stop by. The Big One, onion rings, Cajun fries, and root beer float were all fantastic, just like the service!
