Mack's On The River - Hattiesburg

Macks on the River offers incredible value for the price! The food was expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned, even the frog legs! They have a wide variety of menu options to choose from. I didn't catch the name of the gentleman who greeted us—he may have been the owner—but he was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Our waitress was fantastic; she returned to our table at just the right moments and was very friendly and attentive. If I find myself in Hattiesburg again, I will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful experience. As a seafood lover, I can say it was worth every penny! The scenery was also peaceful and beautiful.

During our camping trip at Paul B Johnson State Park, we were in search of some delicious fried catfish, and this restaurant truly delivered. The buffet offered a delightful selection of classic Southern comfort food, all expertly prepared. Our favorites included the whole fried fish, fried oysters, both boiled and fried shrimp, collard greens, black-eyed peas, squash, and some delectable desserts. The restaurant had ample seating, was spotless, and the staff was incredibly friendly.

My husband travels frequently for work, which means we've dined at countless restaurants. That said, this buffet is by far the best we've ever experienced! You won't find a superior seafood buffet selection anywhere else in the country. For those with lighter appetites, the menu offers fantastic options as well. My eldest daughter is quite particular about her food, yet she absolutely loves their grilled catfish fillets! I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

I had a fantastic time there! The seafood platter was overflowing with delicious food. This was my first visit, and I loved it!

I could go on and on about how fantastic the food is, but words wouldn't do it justice. If you haven't had a chance to dine here, you definitely should. The food truly is outstanding, and the staff is wonderful as well. In my opinion, it's the best buffet around.
