The Cake Box - Hastings

This charming bakery is making the best of the current Covid-19 restrictions. The freshly baked rolls are made to order and are delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

This restaurant offers some of the best cakes and bread in town. We frequently visit for their delicious, generously filled rolls that are made fresh to order. They are one of the few places that carries Lardy cakes in the area. The staff is consistently friendly.

I recently tried a couple of rolls from this place that were customized with fresh fillings to our liking. I opted for a plain salad without butter, while my companion chose the chicken salad. The rolls can also be selected from a variety of options that are freshly baked at their other location. I highly recommend trying their delicious bread pudding as well. Overall, a great experience. Omg They looked good enough to eat on the shelf but even that didn’t do them justice I wish I had taken a picture but the were a surprise treat for in the car. And treat they were .., So full of juicy sultanas and the icing soft as snow The bun was melt in the mouth ..,, I’m sure you all know the advert but these are not buns there Hastings cake box buns x

Looking at the recent poor review here I am not sure where they were coming from or whether they were actually at the Cake Box. I have always found their food to be of good quality and tasty. Their freshly made rolls which are made to your tastes and request are always made quickly and are of great quality especially the lovely fresh salad. Definitely recommended here. Enjoy.
