Mcdonald's Restaurants - Hastings

We were greeted by Mimi who took time to help me with the order screens. We also noticed that she spoke familiarly with several other customers, perhaps regulars, and was very welcoming. She's obviously a very good ambassador for McDonald's, Hastings. My Lord Jesus bless all of you and yours : Wheelchair accessibility: 3 disabled parking spaces towards the back of the restaurant, and the path to the front door has some camber on it. I ordered breakfast which was what I expected. I had a cold and asked for some hot water for a lemsip. I was told that if I wanted hot water I would have to buy a tea for 99p and ask without the teabag. It was put to me was this was a health and safety issue. Not sure how this can be a “health and safety” issue. The hot water was being provided so the issue of the hot water by definition is not an issue. I feel this is a commerce issue. McDonald’s need to monetise every transaction and pull the health and safety card to hide this nasty cynical procedure. MacDonalds need good PR with all the sexual harassment issues. Issues with obesity a cup of hot water would have been a good way to make a customer happy. Sadly on this occasion this was not the case. Ordered some well needed lunch ordering a large big Mac meal, a double quarter pounder meal and an extra cheeseburger. We received a box of chicken nuggets!
