My wife and I returned to Hastings over the holidays and had the chance to visit Boro6 Wine Bar. We used to date here in the 70s when it was still King Pizza. The wine selection and small plates offered were both unique and refreshing. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is wonderfully friendly. Since it tends to get busy, I recommend making reservations. What a delightful place and a fantastic addition to the vi... View all feedback.
What Talia S doesn't like about Boro6 Wine:
I have to admit, I'm surprised by all the 4 and 5-star reviews. After reading various articles and reviews, we made a special trip to this restaurant. While the service was good and the ambiance was nice, the food was some of the worst I've had in a long time. It was bland and lacking flavor. The cacio e pepe rice balls were dry and contained neither cacio nor pepe. The tomato soup tasted like thick, low-quality stor... View all feedback.
The food is top notch.. my favorites are now the cal salad the deviled eggs and the seabass! Emily the server and Alyson the bartender are amazing! Service is even better than the food!
One of (if not the best place) in Westchester county. The owner Paul is super nice and professional as well as the entire staff. Fine dining with very reasonable prices. Make sure to reserve a table as it is mostly full at all times. I live near by and I dine here at least once a week.
Ate here last night with friends and the food was amazing. We had the sea bass-excellent, fried cutlet-amazing and beef shoulder-mouth watering! Super cool intimate vibe and HOH is such a cool town! Go, you won’t be disappointed!
This is a fun, small place in Hastings. I was there on Halloween weekend and the staff all dressed up in costume! Great wine selection and even better service. I had a really good Cabernet Sauvignon and the kale salad which was also pretty good. It's busy, so make a reservation.
Food was good, but I have to say the rudest experience I have ever had in a restaurant. My diabetic spouse ordered the waffle and it came out covered already in sugary syrup. We called the waiter (Miriam) and said we didn't expect it to come with the syrup on it already. The waiter told us it was our fault for not telling her that my spouse was diabetic, and that we would have to order a new one at our cost. When we complained she continued to blame us and basically refused to help. When we asked to speak to the owner or the manager she told us no one was there to speak to.We were respectful and calm through the whole experience, but OMG how could she not expect us to make such a review for the mere effort of cooking another waffle. Waffle is $18 on the menu and might actually be $1.00 in ingredients. Really?I am hoping this was just a poorly trained wait staff issue and not the attitude of the place. We will have to see how the owner responds to this review.UPDATE: Obviously management doesn't care since they never contacted me.
