Nestled in an inviting atmosphere, this Irish-themed pub boasts a commendable selection of beers and friendly staff. While many visitors rave about the excellent food and service, others express concerns over slow kitchen service, particularly during busy quiz nights. The vibrant ambiance, marked by lively decor and music, enhances the experience but can make conversation challenging. Recommendations include the hearty Guinness Pie and crispy chips, making it a solid choice for beer enthusiasts and families alike. However, some patrons have encountered inconsistent food quality and service issues, particularly during peak hours, suggesting room for improvement. Overall, it's a spot worth visiting.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the meals were wonderfully hearty! We ordered steak and wedges, and both dishes came in massive portions. I would definitely recommend returning, especially for large groups or family gatherings—it would be a fantastic experience! View all feedback.
What John Simcox dislikes about Rose Shamrock:
The food is decent. However, the kitchen service is extremely slow on quiz nights, with waits of up to two hours for even simple items like a bowl of wedges! The atmosphere is fine, but it would be much more enjoyable if the loud music overhead wasn't so overwhelming when the pub is crowded during quiz nights. It makes conversation difficult and detracts from the overall experience. Food: 3, Service: 2, Atmosphere: 3... View all feedback.
I visited this bar during the day for a beer and was pleasantly surprised by the generous pour size. Typically, when I order a pint, I end up with something much smaller, but here they serve full pints! I asked the bartender for an IPA recommendation, and the first sample he offered was spot on. It was priced at $15.50. They also have outdoor seating in the back.
Wow! My friend recommended this place, and it turned out to be the best decision ever. The pub is beautiful, and the staff are incredibly friendly. There’s a great selection of drinks, so I decided to try something new: the peach bomb, which I absolutely loved! The steak was the best I've had in a long time, and I can't forget to mention the garlic bread—simply amazing!
The service at this restaurant is incredibly friendly, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious, and I would highly recommend it without hesitation. They offer fantastic burgers, schnitzel, and mouthwatering crumbed chicken cutlets with apricot sauce (as seen in the photo).
Nice pub. Good food. Typical Irish themed establishment but the staff were great. Lovely big outdoor area with very warm heating for the colder nights. Wide range of beers and lagers on tap. And a pretty good pint of Guinness. Chance to join the 1759 club if your interested New to the area but reckon they'll see me more often
Took my mum for visit and lunch. My mum's house as a child once stood on this site of the Rose and Shamrock. Great service fresh tasty menu. Very large tasty sausages.
