The waiters didn't know which tables belonged to them. The people there were incredibly loud, enough to visibly disturb everyone else, and nobody did anything about it. The food was badly seasoned and cooked. The portions were tiny. Never come here, never. It is a terrible hotel restaurant.

The view i... read more Another fabulous evening spent at 28 Atlantic. This is our family go to for special events. Tonight we were celebrating both of my parents birthdays. The view is stunning, but get there early as the sun is going down earlier now that it’s Autumn. Our waitress Renee was attentive and very knowledgable about the menu, easily answering all our questions. One of our guests has a food allergy and the kitchen and staff were able to make adjustments to certain dishes and were very careful to make sure she was served the correct dishes. I could tell she was very pleased with the experience. The food as always was delicious, some of the highlights were the halibut, the beef cheek dish and the fig and burrata salad. The staff made my parents feel so special, it is a fantastic spot for celebrating milestones or occasions. It can be hard to get a reservation in the summer so if you are visiting the Cape in the Fall I would make a real effort to enjoy dinner here.

If you dine early the view of Pleasant Bay is mesmerizing.

We were seated promptly in the center along the wide window of the main dining room. The designof the restaurant was lovely, and the atmosphere was warm. The service was as you would expect from a 5-star restaurant. Theywere very attentive and provided great commentary behind the dishes. Now let?s get to the main part, the food. Beforeappetizers, we were met with a small sweet corn gelato bite to prepare our pallet. They also provided terrific bread with garlicbutter. For the apps, we ordered the pork belly and burrata. Both were absolutely splendid, especially the pork belly, WOW!Moving onto our main dishes, we had the chicken and the short ribs. Now you might ask why order chicken at a 5-star place, butyou can quickly tell the attention they pay to all of their dishes. That chicken was about the best chicken dish I?ve evertried. The shorts ribs were also melt in your mouth good. No need for a knife; they were so tender. Safe to say, we didn?t leaveroom for dessert, but we were still treated to two bite-size offerings that were terrific. Twenty-Eight Atlantic is a place youmust go to; just make sure you?re ready to digest the bill.

I had never been there and am a devoted diner. The service was outstanding, the fooddelicious and the view lovely. It is certainly pricey but they are up front about that. Also, they do not rush you and theleisurely pace and highly attentive staff add to the experience. The negative reviews focus largely on seating. It is a verypopular place on the Cape folks, so the ambience may not be as great as Michelin rated places, but, the staff is the best on theCape and the meal is exceptional. Highly recommend!
