Harvey Fish & Chips

Haven't been to Harvey for a few years. Passing by for a lunch in a weekday after Easter holidays. From the outlook, the cafe is pretty new. The menu price is quite reasonable. They serve fish and premium fish (+$3). The batter is very thin and light which we just love it. The fish is fresh as well. They serve the fish and chips in a pizza box which is quite rare but to take away ! The chips is quite generous too. They have very good and personal service, helping customer to open the door as the customer is not empty handed with the lovely food. Also, they serve the take away to an elderly who is waiting and sitting aside. Hats off to the team !

Ordered takeaway fish and chips with a couple of side salads. One of the salads had run out but this was quickly resolved after consulting with us for our preference. Chips were nice a well cooked - fluffy on inside and with a crunch on the outside; a good few 'cripsys' in the box too. Fish was huge and well cooked, with a thinish batter. We shared the fish and chips for 2 between 3 of us, with a 4th person also sharing in the chips. The shop is clean and simple, with large dining tables if you wish to eat there. We didn't have to wait very long despite there being a few orders coming through and with the staff patiently waiting for our decision on the salad.If the Owners could replace the polystyrene takeaway box the coleslaw was served in with something more environmentally friendly, this would be a 5 star review.

Very friendly service and very popular. I was in town for business and came across this only place to eat, so decided to have fish & chips. Had the deluxe fish & chips, single serve. $14. Really large serve that 2 could share. Fish was OK, but bit tough. Chips good.Might try the burger next time.

This cafe has a lovely location, unfortunately the food is very uninterestingWe both had the chicken sandwich with salad.

The Harvey fish and chips are a fantastic meal choice for families. The portions are large and you can't go wrong with the delicious hamburger. If you're feeling hungry, this place is definitely worth a visit.
