Stopped by on our way home to Alberta. Excellent food, large portions and very good price. Try the homemade fries, they are great. Will definitely come back again. Come see the covered bridge and stop at Honeycakes for lunch! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Honeycakes:
A reasonably priced restaurant for a family lunch. The fish and chips (cod) was a bit greasy and the fries were mostly bits & pieces and sadly, tasted like they had been re-heated. The hamburgers were made from lean ground beef and were a generous size. But I think the homemade soup and roll is the way to go. View all feedback.
Me and my friend Blake got putines and choclate milk and was very good. definetly gonna stop in another day.

Had a satisfying traditional breakfast there (eggs, sausage etc) and decided to take away a few muffins (blueberry-oatmeal, apple pie) for the next day. Wow! The best bought muffins I've ever had. BTW, although the address says Main Street, it's actually in the Courtyard complex and they face Orser Street. And a very confusing map shows them at their earlier Florenceville location.
I went into this restaurant and asked the waitress what the special was. She stated that it was the hot hamburger. I said I would have an order of the special to go. I waited about 20 minutes in a restaurant that was empty in the middle of the day. 20 minutes later, my takeout order was ready. I also purchased one of the "famous" red velvet cupcakes to take home for a treat. When I got home 2 minutes later and opened my hot hamburger, I was shocked to see that this restaurant uses chicken gravy on a hot hamburger!!!!! Talk about disgusting! I called the restaurant and asked if this was how they made hot hamburger as I thought a mistake had been made with my order. The waitress confirmed that "this is how we do hot hamburger" and made no apology for not letting me know. I ended up throwing most of it away as it was horrid. I thought I would then try the "famous" red velvet cupcake........it was so dried out that it was not funny. I was actually choking on the crumbs as I tried to wash it down with a glass of milk. I will not be wasting my hard earned money by going back to this place. It sadly has sure gone down hill since the ownership changed.
From the moment you walk in Margie will greet you like you are a local. There are regular groups for coffee break and groups at lunch. They prepare fresh muffins, cupcakes and the like on a daily basis. For a small town this little place crowds them in and keeps them coming back with very reasonably priced food. Hope you enjoy as much as I.
