Love, love, love this place. Tasty, authentic, and reasonably priced food served by a friendly staff and a terrific chef/owner. The waitresses do not speak English but the chef/owner does. Go for the food; not the ambience.

Very authentic Portuguese restaurant. We were in Portugal a few weeks ago and while there are a few places in greater Hartford that have very authentic food, this place had that, plus the very authentic feel of a small cafe in Portugal with great service.My wife had a perfect grilled sea bass and I had wonderfully prepared octopus. If there is something you want and don't see it on the menu, ask and they may have it. That's what happened with my octopus.We can't wait to go back and visit Portugal in Hartford again soon!

Bijou is the Portuguese hidden gem. The atmosphere is tight. Portuguese TV and of course soccer coverage. God help you if Benfica is playing. The food is always authentic and fresh. Well priced with a small bar area that serves nice wine and cocktails.

Authentic Portuguese that is made fresh so don't come in a rush. Plenty of Portuguese wines to enjoy as you pass the time. They also bring complimentary freshly baked rolls, EVOO and olives.
