Had a 'business meeting ' here at the post office in South Warnborough. Really had no idea they had a cafe inside. food looked lovely. Had a bacon and egg baguette very nice. Coffee was great too served up in a Mug too! Definitely worth a visit if you are driving past. View all feedback.
What Henryka doesn't like about The Village Shop Post Office:
Incredibly slow service, the young lady on the till seemed to have no idea regarding customer service, unfriendly and regret having come here. Only three other people eating, and yet we waited for a good half hour for a jacket potato, which was OK when it finally arrived, but the salad was limp and totally unimaginative. Will not be back. I needed somewhere to shelter and came across this Lovely coffee shop with proper cakes. I would recommend going there.
Since we moved to the area in 2011, we stumbled upon this charming cafe by chance and have been regular customers ever since. The breakfasts here are exceptional and reasonably priced. You can choose from a variety of breakfast options or even customize your own with the available ingredients. The food is always well-prepared and served hot. However, be prepared for the cafe to get busy with passing customers and nearby workers during peak times, so getting a table may be a challenge, especially if a local cycling group stops by for a break. The cafe also functions as a village store with a small deli section, and they offer a takeout service as well. Due to social distancing restrictions, it's recommended to book in advance to secure a seat for one of their amazing breakfasts. My go-to order is the 'Intermediate' breakfast, which includes sausages, bacon, fried egg, beans, and buttered toast. Tea or coffee is also included and is refillable if you're having breakfast. The cafe also hosts 'Bistro' nights once a week, featuring a fantastic menu that is displayed on the tables. Although I haven't attended one of these evenings yet, the food looks delicious. I am looking forward to another breakfast at the cafe this Saturday. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a wonderful dining experience.
A tad perplexed as having Googled the opening times on a couple of occasions, have arrived to find it closed? Earlier this week at midday, today at 5pm despite closing time saying 6? A shame as this is a brilliant place to grab breakfast or daily supplies when it is open.
The full English breakfast at this restaurant was fantastic- prepared quickly and freshly. The service was great and I highly recommend it. I will definitely be returning as soon as possible.
