the best fish and chip shop I've ever been. eat and take off. I heard many great things about this place. it won a few awards and has a lot of praise from people I know, not too far from the train station. there is a take-off section and eat in the section of the restaurant. does not look so much from the outside. Fab just come out of hospital About 2 weeks ago, every one of the staff looked after myself &al my friends who i hav'n seen for a long time,being in hospital u don't see many people. Just tried them for the first time. I usually stick to the same place so was a little hesitant but was very pleasantly surprised. Chips were especially lovely but the whole order was very good top marks!
Just eaten the worst cod from this shop! I ordered it from UberEats cod and chips in the box, I thought how cheap comparison to others!! Now I know why, cod normally thick white and flaky , instead of browny mushy meat with very fishy smell I don’t think it is real cod) chips ok though. I normally order from Pinner but read Skip jack reviews, I thought I try! Never again..
Fish was superb but the restaurant needs a refit as the tables and chairs are old and uncomfortable. The salads are not nearly as good as they used to be. Shame as it was my favourite fish restaurant.

This was the best seafood meal delivery we have ever had. We ordered a fish kebab with rice, grilled cod, fried whitebait, grilled calamari, and a Greek salad. Everything arrived fresh and was better than any fish meal we have had in many years. The quality was top-notch and the flavors were delicious. It wasn't cheap, but you can't expect such high quality at a low price. The service was excellent as well. We made a mistake with our order and had to call the restaurant to correct it for delivery. They were professional and polite, and quickly fixed the error without any issues. We have been loyal customers of Skip Jacks fish and chips for over 35 years, but this grilled seafood was so good that we will definitely be ordering it again in the future. Thank you for a fantastic dinner!
The fries are tasty, I have visited this place several times. It would be awesome if they had vegetarian battered sausages on the menu.
The chips were delicious, but I was disappointed with the quality of the fish. The portion size seemed smaller and the fillet was too thin and under seasoned. The first time I came here, the fish was fantastic. However, considering the high prices and decline in quality, it's no longer worth it.
Uber eats delivery last night. Fried halibut dry and crispy, delicious ! Grilled plaice on the bone , huge fish , perfectly cooked couldn’t have been any more perfect ! Top restaurant quality food delivered on a moped .Chips fabulous . Couldn’t resist a pickled onion . Well it was a takeaway ! Been a customer for 35 years and this was the best yet.
We always get a takeaway but I’m told eating in is always good. Top quality and a tried tested method. Some say it’s the best anywhere. A v loyal following for good reason. They know what they know and continue to get it right!

The best Chip shop chips ever, infact alll the food is fabulous. Defo. One of my favourite must have foodie places to go when in the area.
This is an absolute gem, a wonderful recommendation has brought me to this great Fish and Chips restaurant. The service is brilliant, and food is equally brilliant. Highly recommend Keo beer and black spiced haddock.
The best fish and chip shop in the area, based in Queensbury on the main road. Great take away, and you can eat in too. The place is always busy and so you know the food is fresh. Great service quick and friendly. Chips are thick and chunky and beautiful with salt and vinegar give a try you won't be sorry.
