The Sea Rock, a long-favored takeaway for many, has faced a noticeable decline in quality recently. While the service remains friendly and welcoming, many diners have reported disappointing experiences, particularly with soggy, overcooked chips and poorly prepared sausages. Despite some customers reminiscing about past visits and praising the fish and chips when the ownership was stable, recent meals have left patrons feeling unwell, leading to reluctance in returning. Yet, other diners still commend the generous portions and excellent fish cakes, keeping hope alive for the beloved establishment to reclaim its status as a top local choice.

Was Anonym at Sea Rock a mag?
Lovely fish and chips, generous portions, the fish cakes are excellent too. Social distancing and mask regulations followed well which gives me confidence to visit there for my weekly fish and chips. View all feedback.

What Jessica L dislikes about Sea Rock:
The fish was passable, not sure it was cod but the chips were disgusting. Grey and black and tasted awful even with loads of salt and vinegar. Went in the bin. Not cheap either and what a waste of money. So disappointed as was looking forward to a nice takeaway. Never again!! They were the worst old rotten potato chips I’ve ever had and the fish was so poor considering the high price. Would never recommend this place... View all feedback.

I been going here for years. Always good fish and decent chips. But as of last night 28/5/2019. I dont think I will, I got 3 battered sausages and 2 large chips for 3 adults and 2 kids to share. Got them home and opened up. Sausages did look really ropey, bit burnt , not the usual colour yellow batter ud expect but though, carry on as I know this place. Tasted not as good as usual but ate any way. Missus stopped 1/4 was in and said it tastes funny. And gave up. The chips were soggy and very brown and bruised not the usual there I must say. Over all a really really disappointing visit here after all the good ones. But this on has now put the missus and mother in law off and wont be going back as there were a bit poorly last night and can only blame the food we had. My stomach is made of steal tho.

We were on a bus to Harrow when my wife spotted this place and on the way back we decided to try it out. The large Cod was the size of a mini whale!!! it was huge, fresh and tasty. The batter was crispy and not oily while the Rock melted in the mouth. The chips were yummy too. There was a little wait also because they did it on the spot. Good value in terms of price. This review should have been posted a few weeks ago but I forgot. Since then we have returned for the same meal and I can confirm that the quality was as good as ever in the meantime the quantity seem to have increased , please don’t stop. This is a place to look out for, when you feel the urge!!! I give a 4 rating but it should be read 4 ½

This has to be the best fish and chip shop around. Beautifully cooked fish and reasonably priced. The Sea rock is a takeaway not a restaurant and also does Kebabs, Burgers and Chicken and also has specials during weekday lunchtimes for the kids. You will have to go a long way to get better, fresher fish than the Sea Rock.

I can't fault the service and friendly welcome, however, for quite some time the regular portion of chips have been getting less and less and yes the price is more and more. Regular chips are now over £3.00 which is not now good value for money. In the past regular chips had been enough to feed a family of 3, but now looks like there is barely enough to feed 1 person.
