Elysian
Description
Elysian Restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere ideal for celebrations, boasting friendly staff and efficient service. While it excels in hosting parties, opinions on the food vary, with some dishes deemed subpar or overpriced. Diners mention that the drink quality can disappoint, with concerns over watered-down spirits. Despite these critiques, many guests rave about the overall experience, particularly enjoying the lively environment complete with a DJ for dancing. The venue is clean and accommodating for large groups, making it a popular choice for birthdays and special occasions. However, guests advise caution with menu selections and drink choices.

I booked The Elysian for my daughters' 21st and son's 18th birthdays. The service we received was outstanding. The restaurant staff was incredible, very friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. The food was delicious and of high quality. They have a well-stocked bar and a dancefloor for those who want to dance the night away. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and exceptional service.
Visited the Elysian last night with a big group of work friends to wish a dear colleague a long happy retirement after 35Y service with NHSBT. We had a lovely evening. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was great, we shared starters including breaded torpedo prawns, dolmades deep fried halloumi followed by main course of chicken brochette. All delicious! Passion fruit cheesecake with fresh strawberries for dessert followed by a celebration cake. Then we all threw some shapes on the dance floor.
Awesome venue for a party or night out, Family run restaurant, Michael the manager is brilliant, he is willing to go above and beyond, all staff very professional and help to develop a wonderful atmosphere, lovely food and venue available until 2am. Had my 50th birthday here and 100 guests who are still saying what a brilliant night it was. Definitely will be back.
I was invited to this restaurant for a special birthday celebration. The ambiance was impressive, although there was another party happening at the same time which was a bit confusing for guests. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the food was mediocre. The sardine starter was disappointing, with too much batter. The stifado I ordered was a bit tough and dry, I would have preferred it with rice and more sauce. The veal escalope and spaghetti bolognese were decent. The dessert selection looked tempting, but the rum baba I chose was dense and lacked flavor. The cheesecake was average. The dance floor and DJ were enjoyable, making it a great venue for a party.
The staff at the restaurant were warm and welcoming, and the space is perfect for hosting large groups for special occasions like birthdays. The service was efficient, but the food, particularly the lamb shashlick, was disappointingly dry. The accompanying vegetables were also lacking in substance. The set menu on Saturday nights offered a choice of starter, main course, and dessert for £30. This, combined with the cost of drinks, can make for a pricey bill, especially for larger groups.
