Every time we visit Yorkshire, we make it a point to find Cursed Tarts, and on this occasion, we headed to Thomas' one afternoon when most of the pastries were sold out. Just before me, the last large curd tart was snagged by the previous customer, but I managed to grab the last small one. Despite the time of day, it was wonderfully crisp and fresh. The tea was generously filled, too. It was a shame there was only on... View all feedback.
What Chels155x doesn't like about Thomas The Baker:
The food here is delicious and reasonably priced. However, the staff organization could use some improvement, as they appeared to be quite chaotic in the back while trying to serve customers. We had one server who wasn't very friendly and kept moving around, which confused my elderly grandparents while they were placing our order. View all feedback.
This is another two g of this company that sells delicious brot. I can recommend the wholemeal loaves! the cakes looked delicious when something big. we never shop made cake as my wife bakes her herself, so I can not comment on her taste!
Totally addicted to Donker Bread a dark rye bread covered in sesame seeds. On a couple of occasions they had sold out but obligingly took dough out of the freezer and cooked it for me to collect in 20 minutes. It doesn't get chance to...go stale and it is so delicious even just buttered. Thank you to the girls behind the counter.
Father-in-law in Harrogate Hospital and searching for a treat I stopped in to Thomas the Baker and was delighted with the selection of tasty goodies. I bought a pack of almond tartlets for the invalid, and two well-filled sandwiches which my husband and I consumed...while sitting in the Market Square watching the world go by. This is the place to go for sandwiches and cakes. All fresh, well prepared and served with a smile. We will be back!
You cant beat the cheese straws for value and flavour also the sausage rolls are very good when warm. The vanilla slices are the best in Ripon!
Do not pass up on Thomas the Baker’s delicious Yorkshire curd tart. They are the best and not to be missed.
