I have only visited The Hunters a few times, with my last visit happening before Covid. I am happy to see that it has reopened. My friends and I dropped by at 8:30 on a Friday night for some drinks. Despite it being what I consider prime drinking hours, there were only a few customers present. However, since it is not a food establishment and you have to drive there, it is understandable. What Voyage737314 doesn't like about The Hunters Inn, Near Huby, Harrogate Road:
It's a fine place but a strange xenophobia exists. Not manly, in my view, just strange. (I was once challenged to a fight for no reason, which I ignored. Guess I have a high voice. Can't think of another reason. Basically, the pub is a throw back to the 1970s. No problem, I was born in 1955, refuse to be intimidated. However, as I walk in, order, sit by the great fire, I don't expect strange looks comments just out o... View all feedback.
Excellent food, great sevice, comfy interior, couldn't fault the place. Reasonably priced, great Sunday lunches.

I enjoyed a Chinook beer from Goose Eye brewery, which was well-maintained. The pub offered at least 6 different ales, so they must be busy at other times to keep their beer selection in such good condition. The service was friendly, the music was good, and there was a pool table for entertainment.
The hotel is lovely with friendly staff. We stayed in the Trentishoe room with a four post bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle as well as a roll-top, claw-footed bath that overlooks the garden. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location and we would happily visit both the hotel and surrounding area again.
This pub is a hidden gem. We wish we could visit more often. They have a fantastic selection of beers, especially for ale lovers. The beers are well-kept and served perfectly. There is a cozy room with an old pinball machine behind the pool table. On cooler days, there is a roaring fire to keep you warm. The staff is very friendly and the pub is dog-friendly. Last time we were there, they had a special on gin with a unique selection, not just the usual options. We got a large gin with fever tree tonic for only £5, which was a great deal. We highly recommend this pub.
Called here yesterday dinner time to meet up with family. Originally arranged at another pub but it was closed so we’d ended up here at the Hunters Inn. The Bar staff were very welcoming, there was a roaring open fire which was lovely and warm. We decided to have lunch so 5 hot roast sandwiches and I had a full Sunday lunch. Everyone really enjoyed there meal and I would definitely visit again.
