We had a wonderful experience at this cozy and welcoming pub. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious freshly prepared meals in a charming and unique setting. The bar was inviting and had cozy sofas in front of a fireplace. They had a great selection of drinks, including quality wines and ales. It was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The owner was very hospita... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Black A Moor Inn:
We stopped at this restaurant during a return trip from Skipton. It is conveniently located not far from the main roads and has ample parking space, which was very useful for our trailer. We received a warm welcome and the service was exceptional. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The dessert was also fantastic. We will definitely be returning next year! View all feedback.
Hi seamus, michelle, kelly and the chef. I just want to say about our stay: I have been a reviewer, internal auditor for several years. my lady, you were first class and I say or write that not often. at the arrival her greetings...our with a very pleasant smile, friendly, respectful, professional art and wise. they saw smart and clean in you black attire. neil exactly the same at the arrival in the bar, kelly even our bags etc in the room as I am disabled in a non-protective wise. neil gave us all the information we needed for the first day flush, clear, friendly, but on a professional way. all three employees we have met about our stay have great human skills that were real, which is a real ability that comes only with experience, trust and believe in their product or service. nothing was too much annoyed, they treated all there guests on the same wise. we sat in the bar for a few hours. They all treated the same, knew the first names of the people when they knew before that is a beautiful touch. all feel welcome and special. had a laugh with gassing if necessary what it was from all who then a friendly relaxed atmosphere that is extremely important in this sector. they were some of the best employees we met in many years of travel. eat excellent, great service also. breakfast very well prepared before the guests arrived, which then neil kelly allowed to chat to gast if they wanted. all breakfast chalks were made, bowls, milk, orange juice glasses. the cups were on the tables that were set up to the breakfast. that is a great idea, because most people do not want to sit still in a thinning area. again excellent service, was eating excellent. lunch excellent on Saturday, this time served by neil and michelle was again first class service delivered in friendly, professional way. great food, good choice. everywhere was clean, our room, dining area and bar area. we have already recommended many of our friends, we will stay with them again anyway. fantastic staff and pub. very gott location to day trip from very north yorkshire. 10 of 10 for everything
Fantastic food and service, tailored the menu to suit the gluten-free member of our group. We’ll worth a try if you’re in the area.
Amazing stay in the Black A Moor! We stayed for 3 nights. Host Seamus was so welcoming and helpful. Room was beautiful and spacious with a really comfy bed and an amazing view of the fields. Lovely breakfast cooked to order each morning and we...also ate here 2 of the days and I couldn’t recommend any more food was amazing! I had the fish and chips on the first night and the roast beef for Sunday lunch. Also highly recommend the black pudding starter! Beer garden out the back was also great, as the weather was lovely during our stay. Location was perfect, a quick drive to Ripon where we went to the stunning Newby Hall and close by to Knaresborough and Harrogate where we spent one of our days. We also took a trip to York one of the days only about 30 minutes drive beautiful. Will be back very soon!
Been coming here for so long always great service Would recommend blackamoor to anyone Great selection of food and drinks
Went in for lunch for the first time since it has been taken over. We were taken straight to a table then asked what drink we would like . Then given a menu to which we found out they didn't do a lunch menu (which...I find odd) Order food then it arrived. I ordered fish and chips to find my fish well overdone and my chips were greasy and my plate swimming in grease . It was not good left most of it . My daughter ordered hallomi and chips but when it arrived no chunky chips ,so she asked where her chips were they came a little later and they were soggy so she left them . The pub has no atmosphere very different to before no where to sit by the fire to enjoy your drink . Over run with tables not welcoming at all . Also in the toilets two rolls of paper to dry ya hands the nice touches have gone . Well I won't be going back and definitely won't recommend it to anyone and it's a shame for the local community to .
