Contribute FeedbackIn a recent exploration of a local dining spot, guests experienced a mix of highlights and disappointments. The ambiance of the restaurant drew some feedback for being dark and uninviting, contrasting with the friendly staff who provided attentive service. While several dishes were praised, including delicious starters and well-cooked mains, complaints arose regarding oily preparations and limited menu options that often came with extra costs. A notable deal offered decent value; however, slow service and menu restrictions dampened the overall experience. Despite the critiques, many diners expressed a willingness to return, appreciating the quality of food and inviting outdoor seating.
Upon our arrival, we were disappointed to learn that the dinner-for-two-with-wine option was not available. While our meal was of decent quality, we found that the prices were comparable to, or even exceeded, those of other bistros in central Harrogate that offer a more inviting atmosphere and a broader selection of dishes.
I had a three-course meal for £22. It was alright. The restaurant was a bit dark and gloomy in my opinion. The staff were pleasant and the service was quite good.
The food was excellent, but for me, a misleading menu and absolutely no ambience whatsoever spoiled it for me, sadly
I ordered the stuffed pepper appetizer, which was incredibly delicious. My husband had the goat cheese starter, which he thoroughly enjoyed. For our main course, we both had the confit duck with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. While the cooking was well done, we found it to be a bit too greasy for our liking. The service was excellent, with attentive and helpful waitstaff.
Eating was excellent, but for me, a misleading menu and absolutely no ambiente, what it pampered for me, sad
