What Adrian Beaumont doesn't like about Royal Oak At Burton Leonard:
Did not cater for my diet ie coeliac wheat allergy drinks good service good food very poor was dry, salad looked limp. No bread available for my pate! Ie what free bread. Bill after a serious discussion was very slightly reduced. A friendly greeting was the first thing we noticed; then came a look at the menu (we would only come by for a drink), which was too irresistible, so we decided to stay for dinner. the brie burger was absolutely fantastic, so crisp and fleshy. the hann with sosse was divine, as described. the pub is pleasantly decorated and we will definitely be back. highly recommended.
After winning a prize for two meals we ate in this wonderful pub last night. steve and lisa make great host the menu had a lot of choice and eating wonderfully thank you again and we will see them soon again
What a fantastic, welcoming pub, our party of 7 had an ingenious Sunday dinner, nothing was too much annoyed, we were welcomed by the beautiful steve and lisa, the royal oak was tastefully refurbished and makes most traditional features. so many pubs nowadays feel the need to become characterless. the roaring fire immediatley made her feel like home. a fantastic selection of bee and lay, and for me the essential gins, they know how to serve a good gin! we all had appetizers and main thing, no one was disappointed, everything came beautifully presented and piping hot. they also have a great cook and a team behind the scenes. the wein flew further and we all had a fantastic afternoon. a lot of luck for them both, they make a fabulous team.
Fab hosts, food and gin! fish and chip Mondays are a must- excellent quality cook.
Lovely steak this evening! And very proud to announce my local pub now serves Timothy Taylor's!
