Betty's Tea Rooms Cafe - Harrogate

We visited harrogate for the day on bank holiday Monday in the august and the waiting queue stretched for miles around the corner! we were not ready to wait that long so went elsewhere to this occasion. we had received a voucher for betty as a gift so that we previously visited the yorker filiale, we have booked a few days in harrogate that they want to use. we have the waiting queue outside on the pleasant Wednesday afternoon in november. we were brought a menu to watch us while we were waiting. we were about minutes in the waiting queue. When we came in, we were shown to a nice table. there were very tasteful Christmas decorations. I ordered the festive afternoon tea complete with cake and glowing tea, and my man ordered fish chips (typical type)! the sandwiches and cakes were all delicious although the **** was a little flat I thought and very difficult to cut through without breaking it. it was very chaotic to try to spread the bits with jam (or is it cream jam)! it tasted very, but sticky, I got and my man had no trouble. we would definitely come back, but not if we had to get in for a longer wait.

We had breakfast twice and both were absolutely tasty, among them Swiss rosti, speck muffin, florentine rosti, rührei with smoked salmon, eier benedict and toastfinger. service was super and friendly. we also had the afternoon tea we had booked and served above. everything was perfect.

This is the best vanilla dessert I have ever tried! Jeremy Tordoff, you can thank me for convincing you to also try it.

I have been visiting Betty's for 50 years now, and some of my fondest childhood memories are the trips we used to make to see the Easter Windows. They just keep getting better and better. I am a big fan of their Fat Rascals!

Thank you. bettys for over and over the call of duty to ensure that our beautiful high-time cake is safe to the venue. I'm sorry that the venue makes it difficult, but they really handled it well and helped us massively. the cake was amazing and so were all the workers who helped us. we will continue to eat at the bettys and recommend them for everyone. thanks for everything.
